Our ability to pursue the American Dream in Pennsylvania is vanishing. High taxes, unfunded mandates, and job-crushing regulations have hurt the creation of family-sustaining jobs. Kathy Buckley will support all pro-growth policies that help to create a job-friendly environment that helps businesses create jobs.

SANCTUARY COUNTY
I firmly oppose the support for Delaware County, to remain a sanctuary county. Sanctuary policies undermine the rule of law by providing safe havens for undocumented immigrants, often shielding individuals who have committed crimes from deportation. Sanctuary policies not only encourage illegal immigration but also burden local law enforcement agencies and strain public resources.
Furthermore, sanctuary jurisdictions risk jeopardizing public safety by impeding cooperation between local and federal authorities in addressing immigration enforcement. It is essential to uphold and enforce immigration laws to protect our communities and ensure fairness for legal immigrants who have followed proper procedures. Therefore, endorsing sanctuary status for Delaware County is contrary to my principles and I will support any legislation to overturn sanctuary status throughout our Commonwealth.
Illegal aliens can negatively impact union workers as well. One significant concern is the undercutting of wages. With undocumented immigrants willing to work for lower pay, employers may exploit this situation to drive down wages for all workers, including unionized ones. Moreover, the presence of undocumented workers can lead to increased competition for jobs, making it harder for union members to secure employment and negotiate fair wages and benefits.
Overall, the employment of illegal aliens can erode the hard-won gains of union workers, perpetuating a cycle of economic insecurity and unfair labor practices.
